About Megan

Megan English is a dance artist, choreographer, movement psychotherapist and dance/ movement educator based in Toronto. She received her BFA in Dance from York University in 2001 and completed her training as a Dance Movement Therapist at Roehampton University in London, England in 2005.

Megan worked as a Creative Arts Recreationist at Kensington Gardens in 2002, providing various groups and activities for the residents. She has taught dance and movement education workshops for the Toronto District School Board, the Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre and continues as teaching artist for the National Ballet of Canada’s outreach programs.

Megan has facilitated Dance Movement Therapy groups for: adults with special needs, young adults in outpatient psychiatric programs, children with learning difficulties and adults with mental health concerns, in both the UK and Canada. She provided Dance Movement Therapy groups for adolescents at Pine River Institute, a therapeutic boarding school, from 2006 until 2008. Megan is currently completing her Masters research.
